Due to the current restrictions, we will only be practising exercise and weapons work for the time being.

The club will be taking all precautions for the safety of members while at the Dojo’s. Members must also take responsibility and abide by the Covid-19 regulations.

We will be keeping an eye on any movement in the regulations which will allow us to move on in our practice.

In the meantime we welcome you to join us in the important part of Aikido practice!

For everyone’s safety in the present situation, the following rules will be adopted at all of our Dojo’s when you come to train.

1. If you don't feel well, please do not turn up to train or watch the class.

2. Arrive/ leave after class in gi (or casual clothing), unless this is not possible due to travelling on public transport as changing facilities will be limited. Please wear socks or non grip footwear.

3. On arrival wash/sanitise hands.

4. If possible bring your our own weapons but the dojo can supply Bokken and Jo which will be treated with sanitiser gel.

5. Wear a face mask.

6. No hakama at this time. You will, I’m sure, wash your gi after each practise but hakama don’t get washed that regularly.

7. Sanitise hands on departure and during breaks in the class.

8. Bring a towel with you to wipe your face and hands.

9. If you want to pay with cash each time you attend, that's fine. If you want to pay by bank transfer for a number of sessions, we will create an attendance sheet that will be marked off each time you attend. If you do pay for a number of sessions, let us know and use your name as a reference when you transfer money to the dojo account.

10. READ THE RULES RELATING TO DOJO ETIQUETTE THAT ARE IN YOUR MEMBERSHIP BOOK AND OBSERVE THEM AT ALL TIMES

BAF MEMBERSHIP INSURANCE

If your membership is due and you haven’t paid as a result of the lockdown, you will be required to renew it before you start to train. If you don’t have membership, you don’t have insurance. It’s as simple as that. If you want to pay your membership fees by bank transfer, please let us know and we will send you the club account details.

With effect from Thursday Monday 7th December 2020 we will be holding classes indoors at SULLY and YMCA Dojo’s.

We will only be practising exercises and weapons work but we will be back together (whilst maintaining social distancing obviously) and we will be training again.  See you all then but please remember the rules for training on the above.
